ICAO/NATO Phonetic Alphabet
Code Name: LDC-A-AA
Blueprint Notes
The ICAO/NATO phonetic alphabet transforms letters into universally understood code enabling clear communication across languages. Originally developed for military and aviation use, it’s now part of the global lexicon, instantly recognisable to anyone who’s ever called a gate, spelled a name over the radio, or spoken across borders. This card pays tribute to the beauty of aviation language .
Personal Bond
I first learned the phonetic alphabet years ago while training as cabin crew, preparing to live and work abroad. Since then, it’s become second nature, a small but constant part of life in aviation. Whether I’m spelling out my name or a reservation, it’s a language that’s stayed with me ever since.
